Welcome to my website!  I’m Kara, the face behind Wild Rose Imaging.  I’m a small town girl from Northern Ontario, but now reside in Fort McMurray, Alberta.  I’m all about coffee, campfires, mountains, and my Australian Shepard, Elsie.  When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually found planning my next adventure, hiking , or curled up on the couch watching hockey. 

 

Several years ago, I “borrowed” my step mother’s DSLR to photograph my friends with their horses, and as they say, the rest was history.  I fell in love with the ability to capture special moments of my subjects’ happiest days, which lead me to study photography at Algonquin College, allowing me to evolve from equine portraiture to offer lifestyle, commercial, and sports photography as well.  My style can be defined as colourful and bold, and I like clients who embody that - if this sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you!
